RECORD STORE DAY 2014 brings a very special limited David Bowie release, a 7" picture disc of ‘Rock 'N' Roll Suicide’.

2014 sees the 40th anniversary of ‘Rock 'N' Roll Suicide’.

It was released as a single on April 12, 1974, originally coupled with Quicksand from HUNKY DORY. It peaked at #22 in the UK singles chart. On this 40th anniversary picture disc it is now a double AA side with the same song from the very last Ziggy concert at the Hammersmith Odeon on July 3, 1973 (as featured in Ziggy Stardust The Motion Picture). It is prefaced by David's farewell speech for the retirement of Ziggy which shocked the audience and the musicians on stage alike!

The image on the A side features a black and white outtake from the Ziggy Stardust album cover session whilst the AA side features an image of David as the last bars of the live Hammersmith version reach a dramatic crescendo.

‘Rock 'N' Roll Suicide’ will be released on Parlophone on April 19.
