Sergeant Aaron Fraser updated the Police File this week. He said it has been a busy week for Police in a good way.
Last Tuesday a search warrant executed at an Adams Street address recovered a large amount of jewellery and other property, including war medals, that had been stolen from Adams Street. A 27 year old male will appear in court tomorrow charged with burglary.
CIB have made an arrest in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in the Waihi CBD last week. They searched a Walker Street address and arrested a 28 year old male who is being held in custody and due in court on June 3. Investigations are continuing.
Another search warrant was executed at a Connell Street address last Friday after a tip off. A 53 year old man is due in court tomorrow charged with cultivating cannabis.
Police are warning farmers to be vigilant as yet another rural burglary happened on Old Tauranga Road last Friday. A farm bike, chainsaws and frozen meat are some of the items taken. Investigations are continuing.
Three girls in their early teens are facing the music for repeatedly skipping school. Things came to head last week when they got extremely drunk instead of going to school.
Drivers are reminded to drive to the conditions especially with the colder weather and icy conditions.
