Brando Yelavich is doing what most of us can only dream about - he's living his dream.
The 20 year old set off to walk, climb, kayak (whatever it takes) the entire coast of New Zealand from Cape Reinga in February 2013. And he's going it alone!
Since then he's learnt how to live off the land supported by the generosity of people he meets along the way and it's changed his life.
Brando said he wanted to do something different and this has been a huge challenge.
He's raised over $16,000 for Ronald McDonald House and passed through Waihi on his way back up to the tip of the country today.
Brando took time out to call into Gold FM and he visited Waihi Beach School to talk to students about what they can do rather than what they can't do.
You can add to Brando's fund raising and learn more about his adventures by visiting his site www.WildBoy.co.nz
