Waihi East School's Rippa rugby team has a lot to be proud about. They've had a very busy and successful season and it all culminated in the national competition last weekend.
The boys and girls who make up the team have had an eventful competition and came back with a very credible 12th placing in the competition. Not bad when you consider over 600 teams from around New Zealand took part.
They also had some memorable experiences and a plane trip to Wellington, a cable car ride and a trip to Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum were some of the highlights for the 'little rippas'.
Being presented with their team kit by Gordon Tietjens as their team mates looked on was a buzz for the team Captains James and Gemma at a function at Wellington College.
Manager/Coach Steve Magyar, Amy Magyar, James Twyford and Blake Morgan came in to tell us about their experiences.
