The Paeroa War Memorial Hall was packed full of people from all walks of life who wanted to show their respect to Paeroa's beloved 'pizza man' Jordan Voudouris today.
His family joined the crowd for the service after travelling down to Paeroa from Auckland where his funeral was held on Monday.
Flowers and a pizza box decorated the front of the hall where Hauraki District Mayor John Tregidga expressed his disbelief about what had happened to the well known father of three.
Mr Voudouris was warmly remembered for the efforts he made to teach young people to cook by offering work experience in his pizza shop in Paeroa's main street.
Police investigations are continuing into Mr Voudouris' death.
