This week Newmont Waihi Gold report on a wide range of issues in their update.
They've provided information about the recent Martha Exploration Project hearings along with an explanation about why the Environment Court dealt with their application.
The Correnso underground mine application has been lodged with the Hauraki District Council and it's not far away from being publicly notified. You can find out where to read the Assessment of Environmental Effects and technical reports in the update as well.
Residents living within the Golden Link Project Area zone are reminded to approach Newmont to see if they qualify for free ceiling and underground insulation.
There's also an interesting piece about the Olympic 2012 Gold medals. You might be surprised to learn what they're really made of.
If you have any queries about Newmont Waihi Gold's operations and would like to contact them you can do so by visiting their website www.waihigold.co.nz or you can call into the Golden Link Information Office on Seddon Street.
Newmont's External Affairs Co-ordinator Kit Wilson visited the Gold FM studio this morning to answer some queries and added a little more detail about this week's update.
